Hydrotherapy is one of the oldest treatments known to mankind - it's the therapeutic use of warm water in the treatment of different conditions.

The water:

  • Assists with pain relief
  • Relieves swelling and oedema
  • Helps to relax muscles
  • Enables non-weight bearing exercise
  • Can significantly improve the quality and speed of healing
  • Gives the pet a sense of well being

Commonly treated conditions include:

  • Hip/Elbow Dysplasia
  • Pre & Post Surgical Conditioning
  • Neurological Cases
  • Spinal Cases
  • Cruciate Ligament Injuries
  • Fracture Repairs
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Cardio-respiratory conditions
  • Weight Loss
  • General Fitness & Exercise

Here at Pennard Vets Sevenoaks, we offer the underwater treadmill ensuring we have complete control over the temperature, height of water, speed, length and type of walk.

For your pet to undergo hydrotherapy with us your veterinary surgeon must have referred you to our team.

What Happens Next?

Once you have been referred...

The first session is normally one hour so our hydrotherapist can get to know you and your pet.
