Does my pet need vaccinations in Tonbridge?

The best thing you can do to protect your animal friend against deadly diseases is to vaccinate. Pets can contract life-threatening diseases from the environment or from other unvaccinated pets.

Protect your dog

Ask your vet at Pennard’s Tonbridge clinic which shots your dog needs. The answer will depend on your dog’s age, health and lifestyle.

There are vaccines to protect dogs from :

  • Adenovirus
  • Distemper
  • Kennel cough
  • Leptospirosis
  • Parainfluenza
  • Parvovirus

At eight weeks of age puppies get two shots given two to four weeks apart. Y ou will need to come back each year for a booster.

Protect your cat

At our Tonbridge veterinary surgery we can provide vaccines that will protec t your cat from:

  • Cat flu
  • Feline leukaemia
  • Infectious enteritis

Vets recommend kittens receive their first injection at nine weeks, with th e second three weeks later, and then boosters each year after that.
